Jonas Brothers Raise $250K For Diabetes

Jonas Brothers joined more than 200 guests at the home of Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman on Sunday, May 16 during the annual Rock For Diabetes event, to help raise funds for the Center for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Performing a special show for attendees, the event raised more than $250,000 for the Center.

Francine Kaufman, MD, of Childrens Hospital LA: 'Nick's willingness to be so public has made people around the world feel differently about diabetes. It was thrilling to see the smiles on the children's faces as the Jonas Brothers sang and when Nick talked about his own diabetes. It’s going to be an amazing thing to see and hopefully the fans will be able to connect with it and I think our fans, where they are now, will definitely be able to relate with our characters and everything that they’re going through. I think we came into this having a life plan which was we are a band first.

No matter what we do on the side or we want to divert, we always want to come back to being a brother band. Just staying true to who The Jonas Brothers are but really for us, it’s exciting that we can be and do so many different things, like our new television show, Camp Rock 2.. There are so many different things that are happening and it’s going to be really nice.'

Demi, 'I'd Always Been Attracted To Joe'

Demi Lovato interview with HollywoodNews. What are you learning from Joe as your love grows? Well, not all the discoveries have been easy because like any relationship you go through times and our relationship is in front of everyone so it’s a little difficult, but for the most part we’re finding out how close we are and how alike we are and how long we want to be together. It’s amazing to be able to find someone this incredible at a young age.

When did you realize that he was more than a friend? I’d always had feelings for him and I’d always been attracted to him, but I always thought that it could never happen because we were best friends. Then the timing was right and we just went for it. We’ve just been enjoying it ever since. Timing is everything.

Do you think about expanding your audience like doing Grey’s Anatomy? I think anybody who is an actor or an actress or a musician always thinks about how they can make themselves aware to other people. To me, the roles that I grew up learning how to play were roles like the Grey’s Anatomy character.

I was 13 and I did an acting seminar in front of an agent and the role that got me an agent was playing Angelina Jolie’s character in Girl, Interrupted. So that’s what I was used to playing and that’s what I always wanted to play. Disney Channel provided me with amazing opportunities that I couldn’t pass up and I learned how to adapt to playing those roles too.

So I think eventually, yeah, definitely. Right now I’m a little busy, just a little bit but for me it’s not so much for how many people I can reach out to. It’s just how I can change and stay excited about the roles that I’m playing as an actress.

Many Disney’s stars have gone on to be more mainstream stardom and had the moment where they broke what that image was of being a young performer. Do you think about if you want to break that image or where you want to go? I don’t think there’s a point in my career where I’m going to break or necessarily change completely to shock people or do whatever.

I think for me, my fans can grow with me. Grey’s Anatomy was a perfect example of showing how I can express myself differently than just being a comedic actress without being inappropriate. I feel like for me, that’s how I want to be for the rest of my life. I want to be a successful musician for the music that I make and it doesn’t have to be inappropriate music or I don’t have to be taking my clothes off to be a singer. There’s ways around that. That’s why I really look up to Kelly Clarkson because she’s a perfect role model and example for that.

Is Disney helping their stars mature? Definitely, definitely. I think a lot of people have the wrong perception of Disney Channel, saying that they try to mold us into their image and that’s not it at all. Disney Channel’s working with us, trying to expand our audiences in the right way, in the appropriate ways. What they’re doing ultimately is building our foundation of our career so that it can take off,

..just like Justin Timberlake’s did and Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears. The pandemonium that they had because they started out with Disney Channel was huge. I feel like it’s going to be the same if we all stay on the right paths and for this generation too. Disney Channel is who we have to thank for the fan bases that have grown with us today.

Joe Jonas, 'I Got Demi A Car For Prom'

Joe Jonas chatted with Zap2it about the Camp Rock Tour and girlfriend Demi Lovato going to prom: 'We're going on tour this summer again as the Jonas Brothers, which is going to be fun for us. I'm going to bring Demi Lovato out with us. It's going to be a lot of different cities. There are more cities on this tour than any other tour we've done. So we're looking forward to getting on the road again.

We've been wanting to go so bad. The best thing about this tour is that there's no break. We had to take a break to film 'Camp Rock' last year and that was really fun for us, but this time we get to just tour straight through the end of the year. For us, that's something to look forward to.'

Why didn't Joe go to prom with Demi and her best friend Nolan? 'I thought it'd be a little weird if I went and she already had a date. She's bringing one of her best friends, so that's really cool. I did get her a car, though.' Will Nick & Kevin bring respective ladies on tour with them? Nick laughed, 'No respective lady for me.'. Kevin said: 'My wife will be joining us on the road and it will be awesome.'

Nick Jonas Goes To Washington D.C

Wow, Nick Jonas is really taking his future candidacy for President seriously. The single Jonas brother went to the White House yesterday in Washington, D.C. to visit Michelle Obama to discuss children’s health!

The two filmed a special program for the Disney Channel about Living A Healthy Lifestyle.

It’s part of the Let’s Move! Initiative “to carry the message of healthy living to young people and their families” for Disney. No news yet of when it will air, but be sure to expect big things from Mr. Jonas. Being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2005, Nick has been named the Ambassador to help spread awareness for Diabetes and has been on many TV specials to let others know how they can help.

Nick Jonas is very busy these days he is getting ready to start a summer tour with his brothers and Demi Lovato, he has been busy working out like a manic and according to M magazine his hard work is finally paid off and he is sporting some good size guns just in time for summer.

Has Nick been working out for just to stay in shape or could it be since he has recently become available again he wants to make sure he is on top of his game? The latest stories are Nick Jonas just can’t handle commitment and when he starts feeling closed in by a girl he bolts. That what friends close to Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez told M magazine. But… They look for Nick and Selena Gomez to try and make another go of it sometime soon revealing that there is just too much between the two to let it completely let it all go for now. Beside they are really young yet and have plenty of time to figure things out later.

I think they are so young and busy right now that they need to give it a break ,date some new people then see how they feel about each other. But they need some time to grow as individuals before they get so serious.

Jonas Brothers NEW GROUP ALBUM?

Jonas Brothers may put out a new group album in 2011. Nick told Billboard: 'As far as the next Jonas Brothers album, I think we're working on what that's going to sound like, just taking our time and trying to make something great, no matter what that sounds like. Hopefully 2011 is the timeline, but we're not sure just yet.

And we're in no rush. We're writing a lot of music but in no rush to release an album in any time period.' Kevin, 'Will Nick Jonas and the Administration have an effect? Potentially. Nick went on a musical journey with that album Joe and I supported, and we're so proud of that project. His influences and things he put into that may come out in new Jonas Brothers songs. We're taking that journey right now, allowing it to take as much time as is needed for it.'

Nick, 'I think we felt releasing four albums in three and a half years might be a bit of an overload.' Nick noted that the brothers did not write songs for Camp Rock 2: 'We had some songwriters listen to our music and.. write some tunes we feel we would've done anyway. There's something for everyone, there's R&B, there's hip-hop and then there's kind of our more pop-rock sound..

So many different sounds that I think will really attract people to the film. We're excited for the fans to hear it this summer.' Nick hopes to record a second Administration album, while both Joe and Kevin said they'd like to do solo projects. Joe wants to get into movies as well. Do YOU think that they will all put out solo albums or do another group album next year?

UPDATE: Joe Jonas has confirmed that he is working on a solo album. He told JustJared: 'Yeah, there’s nothing to hide. We’re just waiting for the right timing. There’s a lot of Jonas stuff going on this year, so once there’s a place for that record, we’ll release it.

Jonas Brothers & Demi Lovato chatted with MTV about Jonas Camp Rock Tour: 'I always hold my own, get it straight! I'm just kidding! It'll be fun. I'm excited. I'm representing.' Kevin, 'We have new material as well. We have a lot of stuff from 'Camp Rock,' 'JONAS,' and it's going to be a lot of good times.'

Nick, 'We're working out all the details right now for the tour. It's gonna be a fun night of music. I think all of us are just anxious to get out there and play for our fans. That's the most important part for us and bringing some friends from 'Camp Rock,' as well. And, obviously, having Demi will be great and we're looking forward to it.'

Kevin, 'It's a Jonas Brothers tour, as usual. We just thought it'd be great to integrate [other] musical outlets as well. We thought it was a great way for our opening acts to have a place in the show as well. It's gonna be fun, 'cause we know everybody. We've been doing a movie together for a while.'

Jonas Brothers asked David & Victoria Beckham's children take be in their next music video. JB met Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz at the Grove. A source told The Sun: 'The Jonas Brothers played a free show at The Grove shopping centre in LA on Saturday. Romeo and Cruz begged their mom and dad to take them and David and Victoria were more than happy to oblige.

They watched the show from a balcony and afterwards the entire family went down and said hello to the band. Kevin, Joe and Nick were really pleased to meet the Beckhams and they invited the children to be part of their new video.

They are filming the clip just down the road in Malibu next week and told the lads they'd be more than happy to have them take part. Jonas Brother Working On New Songs As Summer Tour Begins

As they prepare to hit the road for a 16-week North American tour, the Jonas Brothers are plotting a new group album — probably for 2011, but don’t hold them to that.

“As far as the next Jonas Brothers album, I think we’re working on what that’s going to sound like, just taking our time and trying to make something great, no matter what that sounds like,” youngest brother Nick Jonas told Billboard.com during a conference call with reporters on Wednesday to promote the tour, which kicks off July 27 in Dallas. “Hopefully 2011 is the timeline, but we’re not sure just yet, and we’re in no rush. We’re writing a lot of music but in no rush to release an album in any time period.”

Oldest brother Kevin Jonas, meanwhile, predicted that Nick’s work with his other band will be one of the new influences on the trio’s next batch of new tunes. “Will Nick Jonas and the Administration have an effect? Potentially,” Kevin explained. “Nick went on a musical journey with that album Joe and I supported, and we’re so proud of that project. His influences and things he put into that may come out in new Jonas Brothers songs. We’re taking that journey right now, allowing it to take as much time as is needed for it.”

Though the group decided against having a follow-up to 2008’s chart-topping “Lines, Vines and Trying Times” ready for the tour — “I think we felt releasing four albums in three and a half years might be a bit of an overload,” Nick said — fans won’t be wanting for new Jonas music. The group will have songs on the soundtrack to the Disney Channel movie “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,” which comes out Aug. 10 (the film premieres Sept. 3). There will also be a soundtrack for the “JONAS L.A.” Disney Channel series — which launches June 20 — that will be released July 20.

Nick noted that the brothers did not write material for “Camp Rock 2″ since they were on tour at the time the movie was being scripted. “We had some songwriters listen to our music and…write some tunes we feel we would’ve done anyway,” he said. “There’s something for everyone — there’s R&B, there’s hip-hop and then there’s kind of our more pop-rock sound…So many different sounds that I think will really attract people to the film. We’re excited for the fans to hear it this summer.

The trio was more involved in the “JONAS L.A.” songs, meanwhile, although Joe said they’re also something of a departure for the group, saying there’s “a kind of a ‘Flight of the Conchords’ feel” to the material.

The three Jonases said they’re currently putting together the set list for the tour and will include not only “Camp Rock 2″ co-star (and Joe’s girlfriend) Demi Lovato but also other cast members from the movie. They’re also working on the production and staging to, as Kevin said, “push ourselves to come up with new ideas and new, exciting things.” He said a priority this year is “really trying to incorporate video…We have a couple of cool ideas. If we can make them all work for the show, it’d be really cool.”

Jonas Brothers activity isn’t the only thing on their minds, however. Nick said he hopes to record a second Administration album, while both Joe and Kevin said they’d like to do solo projects, with Joe also expressing an interest in expanding his acting pursuits, possibly to the big screen. But those are taking a back seat for now. “It’s just been an amazing year, and we have a lot coming up,” said Kevin, whose wife, Danielle, plans to travel with him during the tour. “We’re really looking forward to everything that’s coming this year.”

The Jonas Brothers were TRAPPED in an elevator for 45 minutes AFTER their performance at the Grove on Saturday: Joe told People: 'We were stuck in an elevator with eight people and Big Rob'. Kevin, 'It was a 21-person elevator.' Who panicked first? Joe, 'Me and Nick'.

Nick, 'I didn't panic. I just didn't have my [blood-sugar] checker with me. No one had it on them, and I was afraid that if [my blood-sugar level] went low in an elevator we wouldn't be able to do anything about it.'

Joe: 'It went from, 'Okay, this is hilarious, we're stuck in an elevator, okay press the button,' to 'This is crazy, okay, I can't breathe, this is insane.' Nick, 'We had our photographer Rob Hoffman with us, and he had his video camera so he taped the whole thing.' Joe: 'It ended with the fire department coming through with axes.'

Jonas Brothers GOING SOLO After Tour

Kevin & Joe Jonas hope to be working on solo albums after World Tour, reports Lehigh Valley Music. During a telephone news conference Wednesday, Joe said he’s been collecting material for a solo album, but has no plans for its immediate release. Kevin said he’d also love to do a solo album.

Joe: 'I’ve been working on a lot of music personally. It’s been a lot of fun for me to be able to do that. ..I’m not sure exactly when my music project will come out; I think when the time is appropriate. But hopefully the fans will receive it and like it.'

Nick said he'll do another Administration album in 'the next couple of years. I’m continuing to write things for Jonas Brothers, The Administration and other artists and there are always songs around'. Kevin, 'I absolutely would love to do something musically, as well. But it’s just been an amazing year, we have a lot coming up.'

Nick said that they decided to tour without a knew record, 'we knew we had a lot of material coming out in different areas, different movie and TV projects that we had coming out that there was music involved in. And I think we just felt that after releasing four albums in about 3 1/2 years that it might be a bit of an overload'.

Kevin, 'For us, our musical journey has just been a progression. We’re not trying to grow up too fast or anything , and I’m saying that even coming from being married. For us, we’re growing up with our audience and growing up with the people listening to our music, as well as the people all around us that are starting to listen to our music as well.

For us, we’re just making the music that we love. And of course being an artist, there’s always time to try and reinvent yourself and make what you have fresh. And I think that’s a goal for every artist out there. But at the same time, you want to try to stay true to who you are as people.'

Earlier this week, Joe Jonas exclusively told JustJaredJr that he’s working on a solo album but what will his new music sound like?

The 20-year-old JoBro told us he’s working with producer Frankmusik, who also has been working with Spectacular’s Simon Curtis.

“Frank is really cool and talented,” Joe told JJJ while promoting Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. “We met a couple months ago and when we first met, it didn’t go as planned. We weren’t sure if we were gonna work together. His background is very ELECTROPOP, dance music but now, that’s pretty much the direction.”

Joe Jonas' new sound will be very much electropop and he’s already finished a song for the new album!

The 20-year-old Jonas shared with JustJareddJr, “I’ve been working with a bunch of artists and producers, but mostly artists. [Producer Frankmusik and I] have one song together and I’m excited!”

Joe added, “When I first started working on side project music, I’ve always been influenced by artists like Michael Buble who can tell stories in their vocals. I thought that might be a good place for me to go but that’s not really what I do. I love to ROCK OUT, JUMP AROUND and GET THE CROWD GOING. So once I started writing, that was the feel of the record.”

From Amy G: Today we went to wait outside for Jonas Brothers to come out of their taping of Regis and Kelly for Tuesday and crew started coming out with wiffle bats and balls and cameras started to come out. Shortly Jonas, along with Regis and Kelly, came out to play wiffle ball in the street. It was so cute, and Joe got hit in the face with a ball. Video under!

From Breanna: I won the fan contest with the Red Cross through Demi Lovato's fansite. Yesterday I went to the Red Cross headquarters with 9 other people and wrote letters to the kids in Chile. The whole thing was filmed for Cambio. Today we got to go to Wal-Mart soundcheck! It was only about 25 people.

They took our cameras and phones though so we couldn't take pictures during the taping. We went up onstage to give Demi the letters we had written and that was also filmed for Cambio and Demi's fanclub as well, she was so sweet! Then the Jonas Brothers came out for the soundcheck. They sang Can't Back Down..

..with Demi and then the backup dancers left. After that Joe and Demi sang their duet from Camp Rock 2, it was really cute! Demi left because she's leaving for Chile tonight. Then the JB played LA Baby, Play My Music, and Burnin' Up. It was super relaxed and everyone was joking around the whole time. In between songs, they played Hollywood, Who I Am & Kings of Leon.

After there was a small group of us waiting outside. Kevin came out first and was really nice but said he couldn't take pictures because he had a flight to catch. He signed a few autographs quickly and left. Then Joe and Nick came out and were really sweet and talked to everyone outside and took pictures before they left. It was really great and the soundcheck was awesome!

oe Jonas and Demi Lovato, set to embark on another tour together with his group the Jonas Brothers, are so smitten with one another that the singer visits his girlfriend on the set of her Disney Channel series Sonny With a Chance.

"I go to the tapings sometimes. It's fun to watch in person and kind of totally have a new respect for what she does," Jonas said, citing her ability to act in front of a studio audience.

"Occasionally I'll actually walk onto the set and just be a part of the show," the 20-year-old said. "She's cool with it. It's been awesome and it's going to be really cool to go on summer tour again."

Lovato, 17, said her relationship with Joe, is "pretty good. He's pretty awesome. He's my best friend."

The two made their comments in separate interviews carried out by On The Red Carpet's Chris Balish during a recent press tour for ABC-Disney, the parent company of On The Red Carpet the TV show and Web site OnTheRedCarpet.com.

"It's no secret that the Jonas Brothers and I will always make music together, whether it's just writing together or performing on stage or recording - we have many duets together now," Lovato said. "There will definitely be some interaction on stage."

The Jonas Brothers' summer tour is set to begin on June 27 in Dallas, Texas. Lovato also performed with the group in 2008.

She confirmed in March she and Jonas were dating. The two met while filming the Disney Channel movie Camp Rock in 2007. A sequel called Camp Rock: The Final Jam is set to be released on Sept. 3.

Demi Selena Jonas Bieber Daytona Beach

The American Music Festival in Daytona Beach, Florida announced that Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna and more will perform at eight major concert events this summer outside at the Bandshell on the beach.

After the major concerts in June at the Bandshell, it will expand to shows at the Ocean Center, Peabody Center and Main Street. Daytona Beach has committed $125,000 to promote it.

The city has given hundreds of thousands for music events before, with little return, but said the organization is different this time: 'We've committed money to beer parties that had a music element involved. This is going to be the highest-quality music entertainment we can have.'

Jonas dumped Lovato to keep friendship
Joe Jonas chose to end his romance with Demi Lovato in order to maintain their close friendship.

The 20-year-old Jonas Brother split from the teen sensation earlier this month, just weeks after the pair went public with their relationship.

And now Jonas has opened up about the split - admitting it was his decision to end the union to focus on being friends.

He tells People, "Demi and I knew going into our romantic relationship that it may not be an easy one. I realize over the time we have shared together that I feel I care more about our friendship right now.

Meanwhile, Lovato has spoken out over claims Jonas dumped her over the telephone.

In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "There are so many crazy rumours flying around today. I'd like to clear a few things up. First, Joe and I did split but it wasn't over the phone. Things didn't work out but we'll remain friends. Secondly, I am NOT dating anybody already. Nothing is more important to me than the relationship I have with my fans. Just thought you guys should know this."

Both singers are due to start their joint tour on 27 July in Dallas, Texas.

It’s great that we’re going to have some of our friends from Camp Rock with us, but we’ll be playing a lot of Jonas Brothers songs. This set list has not been easy at all.

It’s been really difficult to try to figure out what songs we’re going to do from our albums, what songs we’re going to do from Camp Rock and what songs we’re going to do from the TV show.' He might perform 'Who I Am' whatever new Jonas Brothers material the band might have ready in time for the tour.

In the upcoming issue of TWIST, on newsstands May 31, they chatted with both stars to find out what’s really going on. They both love outdoor dates. Nick: 'Being outdoors [On a date] is great.

It makes you happy, especially if it’s a beautiful day.' A few minutes after Nick's interview, Nicole said, 'I’ve definitely been on great oudoor dates.' Were they on one together? Nick on his most recent outdoor date: 'I went on a hike once with somebody, but it was with a group of friends.' Nicole: 'I went to Catalina Island recently, we went hiking and mini-golfing. It was a casual friend-type thing.'

Nick Jonas is preparing for his West End theatre debut, playing the role of Marius in Les Miserables at the Queen's Theatre in London for a three week run from June 21. Nick played the part of Gavroche in the last nine months of Les Miserable's run on Broadway in 2003. Cameron Mackintosh told Daily Mail:

'I went up to him at closing night party in New York and told him he was terrific and hoped that one day he would return to play Marius. We've been in touch a lot and, of course, since then he has become this world-famous star. He and his father and I agreed that it would be great if he came and played Marius here in London. He has bent over backwards to fit it all into his schedule.'

Nick has been rehearsing the music in the US but will begin three weeks of full rehearsals with other new special cast members in London in the next few days before giving his first performance at the Queen's. Joe and Kevin will visit him on Shaftesbury Avenue and see him on stage.

Joe and other friend David Henrie were seen tweeting each other back and forth about the score.

Little Girl, 'I Hate JONAS!'

Nick Jonas chatted with Radio Disney [Via Popstar] about a little girl that was furious that Jonas Brothers were filming JONAS LA at a Color Me Mine store: I'm sitting there out in the open and these two little girls and their father walk up thinking they're gonna spend a wonderful day a Color Me Mine.

The person at the door says, 'Sorry, we're shooting today,' and this girl just starts crying, 'You ruined my life!!' She figured it was JONAS that was being shot so I thought, 'Oh, maybe that will help.' But she just cried, 'I hate that show!!'

Kevin Jonas golfing at the Pro-Am, via DFW. Gavin Liddell, 12, won a contest to meet the Jonas Brothers and a free XBOX. Gavin said he texted the Disney-sponsored sweepstakes telephone number 49 times in hopes of winning. The contest attracted 500,000 entries. The whole family was flown to Los Angeles to pick up Gavin's prize.

The Jonas Brothers had to fly onto the roof of the hotel and take a service elevator to meet the Liddells, and avoid a crowd. Gavin told Andover: 'My friends really don't care because The Jonas Brothers are for girls [Of the talk around Doherty Middle School] But the X-Box is pretty cool.'.

His mom said: 'I have some nieces who can't believe the trip was 'wasted' on Gavin. They were saying we should be the ones who won.' Gavin beat Joe and Kevin in NBA 2010 and Tony Hawke Ride, but lost to Nick.

Arrive at Warner Theatre box office at 13th Street, between E & F Streets, NW by 2 PM, June 1. The box office will open at 2 PM to distribute wristbands. Only 1000 wristbands will be given away (2 per person) for this special event: first come, first served. The box office will close when the last wristband has been..

..distributed or at 6 PM, whichever happens first. Those fans that get wristbands on Tuesday should plan to arrive at the Warner Theater on Wednesday at 6 AM. Doors will close promptly at 6:45 AM.
